Cindy Sue Davids, age 63, of Albany, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving sisters at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany. She was born on December 30, 1961, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Warner and LaVaine (Brusven) Davids. Cindy was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, which remained a guiding light throughout her life.
Cindy graduated from Apollo High School in 1980 and spent most of her life in the St. Cloud area. In her younger years, she worked alongside her father in the family butcher shop, where she learned how to process meat—a skill she used throughout her life. Cindy was a wonderful cook and shared her culinary talents as a cook in several local restaurants before building a career as a mortgage loan officer, a position she truly enjoyed. An entrepreneur at heart, Cindy was always full of creative ideas and found deep joy in cooking and sharing meals with those she loved.
Cindy’s greatest gift was her heart. She was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend whose warmth, generosity, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she met. In her mother’s later years, Cindy lovingly served as her caretaker, and together they shared a deeply special bond made up of cherished outings, watching their favorite television shows, and their treasured annual birthday dinners.
She is survived by her sisters, Wendy (Pete) Haus of St. Joseph and Vickie (Steve) Zellner of Avon; her cherished nephews, Jason (Susan) Haus, Dylan (Shelby) Zellner, and Derek Zellner; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warner and LaVaine Davids, and her beloved companions, her dog, Saddie, and her cat, Smokey.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, Minnesota, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and may be directed to Wendy Haus at 9267 Tallow Rd., St. Joseph, MN 56374.
