Cindy Lee Friend, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2024, at the age of 62. Cindy was born on September 15, 1962, to Velma and Wayne Mead, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Harold, Dean, Lester, and Dennis Mead. Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, Johnathan Friend; her cherished sons, Dusty Curtis and Dylan Curtis; and her treasured grandchildren, Addi Curtis, Kason Curtis, and Owen Curtis. She also leaves behind her sister, Loretta Fox, and her brother, Lonnie Mead, as well as extended family members and countless friends who will dearly miss her presence.
Cindy had a gift for connecting with people, sharing her faith in a way that felt welcoming and sincere to everyone she met. Her love for God and her devotion to studying scripture shone brightly in everything she did. Cindy also had a special love for gardening, nurturing her plants with the same care she gave to her family and friends. She was immensely proud of her sons and grandchildren, finding great joy in their lives and accomplishments. Cindy's kindness, warmth, and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on those who knew her. While her loss is deeply felt, her memory and legacy of love will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
