Cindy J. Hartline, 65 of Palmyra, IL, passed away Friday morning, August 29, 2025, at her residence.

Cindy was born on December 5, 1959, in Carlinville, IL, to Robert L. Crays and Alberta Lucille (Burrell) Damm.

Cindy graduated from Northwestern High School in 1978. After graduation, she managed several local restaurants in Carlinville, including KFC, Subway, and Pizza Hut. Although she enjoyed her roles in restaurant management, her passion for healthcare led her to attend the Capital Area School of Nursing later in life, where she earned her LPN license and began her career as a nurse.

She married Vernon L."Bub" Hartline on April 24, 1981, in Raymond IL, he passed away on October 9, 2005.

Cindy's greatest accomplishments in life were her daughter and granddaughters. She deeply valued and cherished the time she was able to spend with them.

She loved to crochet, knit, and sew, making many beautiful afghans throughout her life. She was especially proud of the yellow rose afghan she had done for her mother. Cindy also enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, and playing golf, often sitting on the bank for hours casting her pole into local lakes. Vacations at Panama City Beach were always a wonderful time for Cindy. She enjoyed her time on the beach and loved to share that time with her family. Alongside these, she enjoyed woodworking, crafts, and painting, and often took time to sit down with a puzzle or a book. She was also an avid fan of scary movies, a devoted Star Trek fan, as well as a Grateful Dead enthusiast.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother, Kenneth Damm.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 am at Davis-Anderson Funeral Home, Carlinville, IL.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 4, 2025, at the funeral home with Rev. Scott Simmons officiating.
