Cindy June Howard, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on May 22, 1955, Cindy lived a life rich in love and compassion, a true testament to her sweet and kind nature.
For 51 years, she shared a profound and loving bond with her high school sweetheart and best buddy, Eddie Howard, whom she adored and cherished deeply. Together, they built a beautiful family and created countless memories that will resonate for generations to come. Cindy took immense pride in being a devoted mother to her two daughters, Julie (Terry) Ferguson and Carrie (Joseph) Cox, whom she loved unconditionally. Her proudest accomplishments were reflected in her role as a mother and grandmother, a testament to the grace and nurturing spirit she embodied.
Cindy's legacy is carried on by her beloved grandchildren, Ashlee (Justin) Smith, Wyatt (Maddie) Ferguson, and Joseph Cox, who brought endless joy to her life. The sparkle in her eyes was particularly bright when she spoke of her great-grandson, Callan Smith, and the anticipation of a great-granddaughter on the way. Each of her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she illuminated their lives with her warmth and endless support.
A woman of remarkable strength and determination, Cindy retired from her career as a purchasing agent at Enginetics Aerospace, where her diligence and commitment were widely recognized and appreciated. Outside of her professional life, she found tranquility in the great outdoors—whether it was casting a line while fishing, setting up camp under the stars, or tending to her cherished flowers in her garden. She embraced every sunny day with joy, cherishing the warmth and comfort it brought to her spirit.
Family was everything to Cindy, who leaves behind her siblings: James (Sharon) Pence, Scott (Lindy) Pence, and Gina (Joseph) Courts. She cherished her relationships with them and was an inspiring figure in the lives of many nieces, nephews, and friends. While her parents, Lonnie and Betty Pence, precede her in death, their love and guidance undoubtedly shaped the incredible woman she became.
Cindy June Howard will be profoundly missed, but her gentle spirit and loving heart will forever reside in the memories of her family and friends. As we remember her, let us carry forward her legacy of kindness, generosity, and unwavering love.
