Cindy Powell, a cherished member of the community, passed away on December 1, 2024, at the age of 49. Born on September 16, 1975, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Charles and Faye Chapmond.

For over 28 years, Cindy devoted her life to the education and well-being of children in the Lake Hamilton School District. She was known for her ability to connect with and inspire those she taught. Her legacy will forever resonate in the hearts of her students and colleagues who had the privilege of working alongside her.

Cindy was a proud graduate of Henderson State University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Science of Education in the class of 1997.
