Thornfield, Missouri
Cindy Raellen Russell, 52 years, 10 months, and 2 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on March 19, 2025. She was surrounded by family.
On May 17, 1972, Cindy was born in Springfield, Missouri, to Guy and Faith Haskins. She grew up on their family farm in Thornfield along with her brother, Phil. Cindy attended school at Thornfield and Gainesville High School. She continued her education and received an Associates Degree.
In 1997, Cindy and Luke Russell were united in marriage in Ava, Missouri, and were blessed with two children, Christopher and Rebecca, whom she loved dearly.
Cindy started working for the U.S. Postal Service in 2013 in her hometown of Thornfield. She worked at many different post offices in many local areas. Her work was very special to her, and Cindy worked as long as her health permitted.
Cindy was a Christian and member of Thornfield General Baptist Church.
She enjoyed travelling and spending time with her family. Making memories with her grandchildren was important to her, and they have many to share.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Faith Haskins.
Cindy is survived by her children, Christopher Russell, and Rebecca Cockrum and her husband Bryce; her grandchildren, Aurora Russell, Denver Cockrum, and Veronica Cockrum; her brother Phil Haskins and his wife, Dana; several nieces and nephews; two aunts, Leah Haskins and Naida and Raymond Haden; many friends and extended family.
Funeral services for Cindy will be Monday, March 24, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava, Missouri. Visitation will be Monday, prior to the service at 1:00 P.M. Burial will be in the Thornfield cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor David Dye.
