Cindy Wilson, 60, beloved Wife, Mother, Nana, Daughter, and Sister, was called to her eternal resting place on January 10, 2024. She was born on November 4, 1963, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Raised by Don and Alice Newlin.
Cindy grew up in Shidler area where she graduated from Shidler High School in 1982. She furthered her education at Northern Oklahoma College and received her Associates of Science in Nursing in 1997. Cindy was a dedicated Registered Nurse working in many fields such as emergency room, trauma and flight nursing, dialysis, cancer and chemo infusion, before retiring as the public health nurse and diabetes educator at Kanza Clinic in Newkirk, OK.
She made a home with the love of her life Mike Wilson in the Osage in 2001 where they raised their three children, HB, Zach and Brooklyn. Cindy adored her grandchildren and made it her priority to spoil them and share Jesus with them all. She also enjoyed attending all their school activities. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed riding horses, morel mushroom hunting, fishing, going antique shopping, growing flowers, and raising her chickens. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church, and enjoyed volunteering her time there.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband Mike Wilson of the home, two sons; HB Bishop and wife Chastity of Ponca City, OK, Zach Wilson and wife Denise of Chickasha, OK, one daughter; Brooklyn Bishop and Ryan Sands of Ponca City, OK, grandchildren; Natalie Marie, Kylie Ann, Kenzie Lee, Cabrey Elaine, Cwynn Brooklyn, and Jessen Fay, bonus grandchildren; Shane, Megan, Jaymie, Dakota, Randie, and Marc, bonus great grandchildren; David James, Adelynn Faith, and Aedan Alexander. Also surviving are her father; Don Newlin of Shidler, Ok and three sisters; Renee Cooper and Husband Dee of Glencoe, OK, Tracy Newlin of Ponca City, OK and Nicole Newlin of Tulsa, OK and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Newlin in 2017 and Grandmother Meme Martha Richter in 1999.
Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in the Central Baptist Church with Pastor John Waterloo officiating.
