Cinthia Barkalow Obituary
Cinthia Rose is now at rest having left this life to welcome what is to come. She leaves Robert Bowers, her beloved partner; Bonnie Hausfeld, her mother; and siblings, Eileen, H.J., and Maureen; one niece and four nephews; and Adrianna Lagunas, who she loved as her daughter.
Cinthia was predeceased by Harold Simmons, father, and Rosie, her dear grandmother.
Cinthia was a friend magnet! She leaves innumerable friends from all phases of her life in VA, NJ, IL, FL, to treasure, share memories, and to tell the stories! She drew immense pleasure and joy from friends, family, and nature - in animals, birds, gardens, and most of all water from championship swimming in her youth to ocean beaches. She sought solace and peace in every body of water from an ocean to a rain puddle.
She was an avid reader, well read and curious, a familiar face at many libraries.
Life was her, at times, harsh teacher and kindness was her gentle guide.
A private scattering of ashes service will be held at a future date in Assawoman Bay, DE.
Any donations are asked to go to John Hopkins Research.
Until her leaving, no matter what she had to overcome, always Cinthia Rose.
