Clair Damon Boggs

UNION TOWNSHIP - Clair Damon Boggs, age 89, passed away on August 24, 2024. He was born on January 13, 1935, to the late Bruce and Alcie (nee Whited) Boggs. Clair was the devoted husband of the late Betty Jo (nee Jordan) Boggs; beloved father of Kimberly (Delbert) Johnson, Bobbi (Matthew) Bryant, and the late John William Boggs; step-father of Debbie (John) Reardon; cherished grandfather of Billie Jo (Jeremy) Wood, Delbert Dallas (Sally) Johnson, Farmer Jordan (Samantha) Johnson, John Johnson, Samuel (Daisy) Johnson, Danielle Johnson, Gavin Johnson, and J.B. Johnson; great-grandfather of 10 great-grandchildren; and dear brother of the late Shelia Bray. Clair is also survived by his companion Phyllis Taylor. 

Clair was proud to have served in the United States Air Force as part of the Strategic Air Command during the Korean War. Clair was an owner-operator of his own transportation company driving over one million miles without having an accident. He had a very mechanical mind and was known to be able to fix anything. Clair was a member of the First Baptist Church of Glen Este. 

Friends and family may visit on Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 5PM - 7PM at Moore Family Funeral Homes - 225 Spring Street, Batavia, Ohio 45103. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 12PM, also at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.
