Claire Bennis

Claire Bennis died peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at home in Doylestown, PA. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Claire was the loving wife of James Bennis. The couple shared over 57 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Claire was the daughter of the late Vernon and Laura Riggs Streck. She was the sister of Laura Sprowles and of the late Vernon Streck, Joan Produrutti and Doreen Paist.

Claire's smile, bright blue eyes and easy manner were welcomed by all. She had a strong personality and was a go to in time of need for family and friends.

She enjoyed watching all sports and was a golfer, tennis player, ice skater and skier.

Claire was known for her good taste and stylish manner of dress. She showed strength and grace throughout her illness. She will be sorely missed by family and friends and especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband James, Claire will be missed wholeheartedly by her children Stacey Bennis, Nicole Flynn and her husband Rob and Derek Bennis; her grandchildren, Delaney and her husband Michael Kleiman, Cassidy Bennis, Kylie Flynn, Abby Bennis, Olivia Bennis, and Ciara Flynn.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Claire's family on Monday, March 16, 2026 from 10:00am, until the start of her Funeral Mass at 11:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 5194 Cold Spring Creamery Road in Doylestown, PA 18902. Her interment will take place privately, on a different date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, at the above address.
