Claire Hultman Gannon

"Well done, good and faithful servant." - Matthew 25:23

With great sorrow but deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Claire (Hultman) Gannon of Milford CT on August 6, 2025. Claire, a woman of unwavering faith, and a lifetime member of Summerfield United Methodist Church in Bridgeport CT, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 87. She is now with her beloved parents Gus and Ethel Hultman, and sister Barbara Beach.

Claire was a long-time resident of Milford, CT, born in Bridgeport Hospital on September 24, 1937, and she was a graduate of Milford High School in 1955. Claire leaves behind three children and numerous grandchildren, all of whom she adored: Robert Gannon (Tracey) of Orlando, FL and their daughter Olivia; Linda Knoedler (Bernd) of Milford, CT and their daughters - Catherine (Jafeth) of Charlotte, NC and Laura of NYC; Jim Gannon (Debbie) of Milford, and children Collin of NYC, Emily (Zach) and great grandson Grayson of Atlanta, GA, and Bria of NYC. Claire also leaves behind other beloved family and friends, including nephew Edward, nieces Pamela and Susan, and cousins Sandra, Chris, and Ruth, along with close family friend Margaret.

Claire dedicated her life to serving Her Lord, her children, grandchildren, extended family, and others, spreading love wherever she went and whoever she touched. For everyone she knew, never a holiday nor birthday occurred without a card or letter containing her favorite Bible passages and always including "Be still and know that I am God".

Claire has been interred at Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue in Bridgeport CT in the Pilgrimage Mausoleum, which overlooks the graves of her parents.
