BELMONT ---- Claire L. Haynes, 77, of Turkey Drive, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at the Belknap County Nursing Home in Laconia.
Claire was born on August 3, 1948, in Hartford, CT, the daughter of Wilfred LaPointe, and Rita (Smith) LaPointe.
After moving to Weirs Beach, New Hampshire, Claire raised two daughters and helped raise three grandsons. She spent several years working in the food, hotel, and banking industry before becoming the Front-End Manager at the NASWA Resort. She retired at an early age and cherished spending her time with family. She loved taking long walks with her grandson, Joshua, and attending all of his sporting events. She loved camping with her family, and shared a lifelong passion for reading, which she continued to enjoy until she lost her eyesight.
Claire is survived by her daughter Dawn Emond, her grandson Joshua, sister Diane Potwin and her husband Tom, and their children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her daughter Cheryl Page and two other grandsons, Kyle Page and Cody Heath, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Claire is predeceased by her brothers Wilfred LaPointe, Jr. and Dennis LaPointe.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4:00pm-6:00pm, in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
Burial will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:00am, at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield, Street, Laconia, NH.
