Clara Marie Carter

Clara Marie (Lagucki) Carter died at her home in Tavares, Florida on August 28, 2025.

She was born January 11, 1928, in Bellaire, Ohio.

She was the daughter of the late Romeo and Gilda (DePasquale) Carosa. Clara was a retired employee of Stone & Thomas (Ohio Valley Mall) and former co-owner of Fashion Beauty Shop in Bellaire. She graduated from Bellaire High School Class of 1946. She also graduated from Riggs Le Mar Beauty School, Wheeling W.Va. in 1948.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Emil DePasquale and her 1st husband, Robert Lagucki (died August 11, 1990).

She is survived by her husband of 34 years Orval "Ace" Carter, her children Rob Lagucki (Nancy) of Willoughby, Ohio, Tom Lagucki (Dianna) of Sunbury, Ohio, Tim Lagucki (Meg) of Upper Arlington, Ohio and David (Shari) Lagucki of Uintah, Utah, 5 Grandchildren, John, Joey, Eddie, Brock and Jessica; 3 stepsons, Rick (Beverly) of Mt. Dora, Fl, Barry (Terri) of Wheeling, W.Va., Dan of St. Simons Island, Ga., 7 Step-Grandchildren, Amy, Angela, Alison, Ashley, Danny, Kristian, Caroline, and 14 Great Grandchildren.

Clara was a devoted member of the Roman Catholic Church. She was also an amazing cook and baker. Clara was loved by all and will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Clara's life at CARE Funeral and Cremation Services, 204 West Main Street, St. Clairsville Ohio 43950 on Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 1pm. Inurnment will immediately follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
