Clara Belle Frances Casackkar, 82, of Wellsville, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2025, in her chosen hometown of Wellsville. Surrounded by her loved ones. Clara was born on April 25, 1943 in St. Louis, the daughter of Charles "Chick" Sr. and Mary (Kowalczyk) Casackkar. Spending most of her childhood in St. Louis, Clara enjoyed roller skating and dancing as a young girl. Although if you could ask her today, Clara would tell you the best part of her youth was being a big sister. Clara proved to be a fierce protector and a loving confidant for her siblings and despite her young age, she fulfilled these roles with pride. During Clara's senior year of High School, she moved to Wellsville with her family where she went on to graduate with the Class of 1961. Not long after graduating Clara moved back to St. Louis where she met the love of her life, Juan Zamarripa. Clara and Juan returned to Wellsville as a married couple with a family of their own to spend more time with Clara's Grandparents, Pauline and Roy Willis. Clara set her roots as a pillar in the community where she would raise her children and "spoil" her grandchildren. Although her husband Juan preceded her in death, the family they created is an everlasting example of strength, intelligence and unconditional love. Those who admired Clara most had the privilege of witnessing her brilliance up-close; whether it was her intellect and wisdom, her beautiful singing voice, her undeniable charm, or her exceptional sense of humor. Clara's unconquerable spirit leaves an unforgettable impression of leadership, humility, courage and wit. To the people whom she shared her life with, Clara made the world a better place through example no matter how tall the order. Her presence and influence continue to blossom through the people she poured her heart and soul into, her family. Survivors include one son, John Roy Zamarripa (Margee) of Wellsville; two daughters, Constance Marie Zamarripa (Charles) of Wellsville and Carolyn Berra-McKean (Jack) of St. Louis; one brother, Charles "Chuck" Casackkar of St. Louis; two grandchildren, Charles "Chic" Reese II (Cheanna) of Columbia and Ciara Reese (Thomas) of Middletown; and five great grandchildren, Mia Reese, Charles "Charlie" Reese III, Atlas Reese, Reese Walton, and Niko Walton; and many loving nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Clara was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; one brother Edward Casackkar; and one sister, Connie Jordan. The family requests memorial donations be made to Catholic Charities. Memorials may be sent in care of Myers Funeral Home, 203 E. Bates, Wellsville, MO 63384. Private services will be held by the family.
