FULLERTON-Clara Agatha Kula, 92, of Fullerton, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Cloverlodge Care Center in St. Edward.

Clara was born on December 29, 1933, to Thomas and Cecilia (Miela, later changed to Miller) Kula on the family farm in rural Boone County, Nebraska. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1951 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Education from Duchesne College in Omaha in 1954. She also pursued additional graduate coursework at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Clara began her teaching career at Fullerton Public Schools in the fall of 1954. Over her 45 years of teaching, she also taught in Silver Creek, Central City, and Timber Creek. After retiring at age 65, she continued to share her love of teaching by volunteering for another 22 years at Fullerton Public Schools, serving 11 years as a teacher's aide for the 4th grade with Teresa Larsen and 11 years as a remedial reading teacher for students in kindergarten through sixth grade. She also taught reading and math during summer school for 15 years.
She was a devoted member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Fullerton and St. Ann's Altar Society. She was also a member of NEA, NSEA, IRA, and NSEA-Retired. Clara also shared her faith by teaching religious education at St. Peter's for 19 years. She also helped run the Fullerton Alumni Association for 35 years, where she also served in office.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Evelyn Seidler of Roanoke, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Cecilia Kula; her sister, Angeline Seidler; and brothers-in-law, Frank Seidler and Donald Seidler.
