Clara Louise LaLonde, age 67, of Temple passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, October 19, 2025, in the care of the staff of Our Hospice House and with her loved ones beside her. She was born on August 25, 1958, in Eunice, LA to her parents Joseph Charles and Sandra Louise (Foyt) LaLonde.
Her family would make the move to Belton where she would go to school and start all the new adventures in her life chapters. Clara was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She moved to Temple and met her life partner of 35 years, Tony Garcia. They shared many occasions with family and friends creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Clara was a member of Smithbend Baptist Church of Laguna Park in Clifton, TX. She was a faithful member. She loved her Lord and Savior, following the words of her Lord that was always a part of her faith and daily life. Clara loved spending time with her grandchildren especially doing arts and crafts projects with them. She had a passion for going to garage sales and one of her favorite finds was her purses. One never knows when a purse will match the occasion, so it was always best to have a very good selection to choose from. Clara will be missed by all her family and friends, but all the time spent together will be the memories to carry on for a lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her stepdad J.T. Marshall.
Clara leaves behind a daughter, Casey LaLonde of Elm Mott, and Clara's life partner Tony Garcia of Temple. She also is survived by siblings, brothers Billy Dean LaLonde and wife Cathy of Jarrell, Joey LaLonde, and a sister Becky Seymour and husband Jack from OH. Her stepbrothers Jay Marshall and wife Janet of Conroe, Clay Marshall of Temple, and stepsister Dana Marshall Alsobrook of Lake Whitney, and stepson Leroy Garcia and stepdaughter Cynthia Garcia both from Lubbock. Clara's beloved grandchildren, Keith, Cody, and Hunter, step-grandchildren Christian, Alexis, Raymond, Lena, great-grandchildren Harper and Pamela, and step-great grandchildren Madeleine, Archer, and Kyleen will always miss her loving arms and kisses, but knowing she is now with her Lord brings peace to all. Clara also leaves behind a host of family and friends and many nieces and nephews through her time here on Earth and will be deeply missed by all.
No services are planned.
Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple has been entrusted with the care of all arrangements.
