Clara Rischall Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hodroff-Epstein Memorial Chapel - St. Paul on Dec. 29, 2025.
Clara Rischall, fondly known as ChiChi by her Argentinean family and "Bo" by the grandkids, was a beacon of laughter and love, who lit up every room she entered. Born on March 14, 1931, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Clara was a spirited and compassionate woman whose dedication and love for her family was the cornerstone of her life. Her journey led her from Buenos Aires to Saint Paul, Minnesota, where she met her husband Alfred, established her home and raised her family. Clara served the community of Ramsey County with dedication, working in administration at the Ramsey County Welfare Department, from where she retired.

"Bo", affectionately referred to by her family, was a woman of many talents and interests but always put her family first. Her love for them was palpable and she found her greatest joy in their happiness. As Albert Einstein said, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile." This was exemplified in the life of Clara, who was a loving matriarch to her family and a cherished member of her community. She was a guiding star who, through her actions, taught the value of love, dedication, and compassion.

Clara is survived by her son, Neal Rischall and his wife Stephanie; her daughter, Florence Katz; her grandson, Benjamin Katz and his wife Margaret, and her granddaughters, Alexandra Katz, Sofia Rischall, and Isabella Rischall; her great-granddaughter, Maya Sodetani; and her nephew, David Bellows. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sara and Nisan Wainstein, and her sister, Doris Bellows.

Those who knew Clara are encouraged to share their memories and upload photos to the memorial page. Each reminiscence, no matter how small, will serve as a tribute to Clara's extraordinary life and will keep her spirit alive in our hearts. The world was a better place with Clara in it, and her loving, dedicated, spirited, and compassionate nature will never be forgotten.
