Clara T. Signori (Tosi), age 98, of Canton, formerly of Mattapan, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.
She was born on August 25, 1926, in Boston, Massachusetts and raised in the vibrant neighborhood of Roxbury and educated in its schools, Clara was the matriarchal figure of a large, loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph T. Signori, and together they shared a lifetime of memories. Clara was a devoted mother to Eugene J. Signori and his wife Kathy of East Bridgewater, Kathy M. Peters and her husband Gary of Weymouth, MaryAnn Roy and her husband Alan of Connecticut, and Judy M. Signori of Canton. She was also a sister to the late John, Warren, and Fred Tosi, and to Rose Signori, Ines Marselli, and Edith Ingerson, who predeceased her.
Clara's legacy includes a lineage of nine cherished grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life. She was also a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, who will remember her for her warmth and kindness.
Before settling in Canton in 1955, Clara lived in Mattapan, where she was not just a devoted wife and mother but also an active member of the Italian Club, embracing her heritage and fostering community bonds. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, and she was the epitome of a homemaker, always ensuring that her loved ones were cared for with a full heart.
Clara's interests were as nurturing as her personality. She found solace in sewing, creating beautiful pieces for her family to cherish. Cooking was another of Clara's passions, and her kitchen was the heart of many family gatherings, where delicious meals and laughter were abundant. Reading provided her with a gateway to different worlds and ideas, and she always encouraged her family to seek knowledge and joy in the pages of a book.
Those who knew Clara would describe her as the embodiment of love. She approached life with a gentle strength and a generous spirit that touched everyone she met. Her presence was comforting, and her influence will live on in the values she instilled in her family.
As we say goodbye to Clara T. Signori, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. Her memory will be treasured, her stories retold, and her kindness emulated by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. Clara's spirit will continue to guide and inspire, as she watches over us with the same devotion she showed in life.
Clara T. Signori's journey on this earth has concluded, but her impact is everlasting. Her family takes solace in the knowledge that she lived a full and beautiful life, surrounded by those she loved and who loved her in return. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as her legacy of love continues to flourish in the hearts of her family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Clara, until we meet again.
