Clara Wiley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Labby Memorial Funeral Home - Leesville on Mar. 16, 2026.
Clara (Terry) Lee Wiley gained her angel wings on March 14, 2026 at her home in Leesville, LA. Clara was 81 years old. Born in Fayetteville, Mississippi on August 6, 1944 to William Bonds and Daisy Bryant. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend. Clara spent her childhood in Mississippi and graduated high school in Port Gibson, MS.

Clara's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint Clara left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. Clara was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She worked 30 plus years for State Farm Insurance serving the local community.

Not a day went by where Clara didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.

Clara is survived by her loving children, Jeffery Wiley (Lacy) and Stacy Bassett (Bud); her grandchildren, Chris Wiley (Ashley), Courtland Hollenshead (Steven), and Kyle Bassett (Ella); her great-grandchild, Paisley Wiley. Her siblings, Tammy Morrison (Pop) and Amy Streicher (Clark). Along with a host of extended family and friends.

Clara is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Wiley, and her parents.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville, LA at 4:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until time of service.

"A grandma is warm hugs and sweet memories. She remembers all of your accomplishments and forgets all of your mistakes."

"Parent-child relationships are complex. Grandmother-grandchild relationships are simple. Grandmas are short on criticism and long on love."
