Clare Frances (Droll) Fischer Schniers, 87, of Ballinger, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
She was born on September 26, 1937 in San Angelo to Joseph and Frances (Beyer) Droll and graduated from St. Joseph's Catholic School in Rowena in 1955. She was raised on the family farm in Rowena.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alton, her husband Joe, brother Donald Droll, and brother-in-law Michael Higgins.
She was a loyal employee of the First National Bank in Ballinger for 30 years.
She was a member of St. Joseph's Parish in Rowena. She was a member of St. Ann's Altar Society and of St. Joseph's choir. She served on the Parish Council. She loved to travel, dance, and take a good "schluck".
Survivors include Daughters Sandra (Mike) Halfmann, Janice (Tim) Travis, Sons Charles (Iris) Fischer, Alton (Lisa) Fischer Jr., Ken (Amy) Fischer, and James Fischer. Her sister Doris Higgins.
Grandchildren: Jessica (Brent) Gaeke, Lori (Jeff) Chandler, Stacy (Clint) Taylor, Amy (Lance) Nixon, Kelly (Brandon) Clifton, Tucker (Baillie) Travis, Haley Bennight, Torry Bennight, Shay Lindley, Zac (Jessica) Fischer, Joshua (Jordyn) Fischer, Kelsey (Jason) Gore, Matthew (Dreau) Fischer, Jeremy Fischer, and Rusty Fischer.
Great Grandchildren: Georgia Chandler, Jackson Chandler, Christian Taylor, Sebastian Taylor, Beau King, Katy (Cody) Rathmell, Hannah Nixon, Halley Nixon, Harper Clifton, Sawyer Clifton, Addisyn Hill, Riley Travis, Aspen Phillips, Keegan Fischer, Parker Fischer, Jasper Gore, Jarvis Gore, Addyson Fischer, Emersyn Fischer, Jedidiah Fischer, Elena Fischer, and Erika Fischer.
Great great granddaughter: Kennedy Clare Rathmell.
We would like to thank all of her nurses, CNA's, and therapists at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center for all of the tender care and compassion shown to our mom. Ballinger Home Healthcare & Hospice, Dr. Hardwicke, and Dr. Rightmire for their prompt, professional, and skilled care. We would also like to thank Father Ariel Lagunilla, Deacon David Workman, Sharon Engler, and the Thursday mass volunteers.
