He was born September 20, 1928, in Lovell Wyoming to Clarence Andrew Boyd Sr and Luella Fillerup Boyd.
Clay is preceded in death by Betty, his sweetheart of 63 years, and parents, Clarence and Luella Boyd.
He is survived by his five children, Blayde Boyd, Kimberlee Boyd, Lorii Boyd Hubbard, Michal Lyn Boyd and Kraig Boyd.
He was a lifelong strength and example to his siblings who looked up to him. Especially when he would come home on leave and take every out for ice cream.
Besides his distinguished years of service in the Marine corps, he loved his time as a Boy Scout leader and the boys loved him. He had a passion for the outdoors and missed hiking and camping in his later years.
We feel the sting of his passing and will miss his wonderful smile, crazy long stories as well as his quiet strength.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2025 at 11:00 am in the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Family and friends may attend a viewing from 9:30 - 10:40 am prior to the services. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinmortuary.com.
Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
