Sueann Thomson Carter (71), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away Wednesday October 15th, 2025, peacefully at home. She was born on April 19, 1954, in Great Falls, Montana to Madsen Berdell "Dell" Thompson and Bonita "Bonnie" Joan Schlundt. She grew up in many cities throughout Utah and Wyoming due to her father's career in construction. She graduated high school in the Uintah Basin in 1972.
Sueann married Dennis LaRose in Big Piney, Wyoming in 1973. Together they had 3 sons, Denny, Karl and Nick. She went to nursing school and obtained her certification. Sueann worked Stewart's Care and Rehab with her mother-in-law, Juanita for several years. Sueann and Dennis later divorced. At that time, Sueann and her boys moved to Richfield, Utah where She lived for 18 years.
Sueann married the love of her life, best friend and soul mate Arthur Dee Carter on April 27, 2001. Together they made their forever home in Lindon, Utah.
Sueann worked for Alpine School District as a Cafeteria Manager for 20 years, until she retired in 2020.
Sueann loved her dogs Button and Spanky, the outdoors, camping with family, cooking, sewing, her extensive doll collection, and many other crafts and activities.
Sueann is survived by her loving husband Dee Carter, 8 children Denny (Kristi) LaRose, Karl (Shawna) LaRose, Nick (Deana) LaRose, Jimmy (Kim) Carter, Robert Webb, Shawn Carter, Kevin (Paula) Webb and Carey (Emily) Carter, 40 grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her sister Evelyn Carter. She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother, sister and son, Ryan.
A viewing will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building located at 320 West 500 North, Lindon, Utah.
Services are under the care and direction of Olpin Family Mortuary in Pleasant Grove, Utah. Condolences may be sent to the family at olpinmortuary.com.
