Clarence William Ehrhart Sr., known to friends and family as Bill, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of July 11, 2025, while resting at Haven Hospice Center in Orange Park, Florida. He was 74 years old.
Bill was a dedicated and honorable man who devoted 23 years of service to his country in the United States Air Force. He enlisted in 1972 and retired in 1995 as a Senior Master Sergeant. Throughout his distinguished career, Bill worked as an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) mechanic, specializing in C-130s, C-5s, C-141s, and P-3s. His service took him to various bases around the United States, as well as overseas assignments in the Philippines and the Middle East during Operation Desert Storm. His skill and commitment to the mission left an indelible mark on his colleagues and the military community.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda L. Ehrhart, and their eldest son, Clarence W. Ehrhart Jr. He is survived by his sons, James E. Ehrhart and Michael L. Ehrhart, six cherished grandchildren, and his partner after Linda's death, Lanette Kern. Bill's legacy lives on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and the many friends and colleagues who admired and respected him.
A memorial service will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home on 24 July 2025 with a viewing at 10AM and 11AM funeral service where family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Bill's life. Interment will follow Beal Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Wounded Warriors Project in Bill's honor.
