Clarence Asbury "Lance" Gridley IV

Clarence Asbury "Lance" Gridley, IV was born March 22, 1982 in Tallahassee, Florida and unexpectedly passed away March 30, 2024.
He attended North Florida Christian School Kindergarten through 12th grade. He was a starter on two of NFC's State championship football teams. He also played varsity baseball during his high school years. He attended and earned his BS degree from Florida State University in Interdisciplinary Sciences in 2005. There, he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity.
Lance worked various jobs in Tallahassee before deciding to move to Montana. He worked at Big Sky Resort before becoming a butcher at Roxy's Market in Big Sky and then Daniels Gourmet Meats and Primal Meat and Fish in Bozeman, Montana. He moved back to Tallahassee in 2023 and worked for Old Meridian Plantation which gave him the opportunity to work outdoors with the loves of his life: horses, dogs and hunting.
Lance was happiest when on the water fishing or in the woods hunting whatever was in season. He was a true outdoorsman and never missed a chance to experience any outdoor activities. While Lance loved Florida with its beaches and woodlands, he felt his spirit was really meant for Montana. That was his favorite part of the world. His family and many friends will miss his kind heart and beautiful smile.
Lance is survived by his parents Buddy Gridley (Faith) and Marty Sittig (Mike); his uncle Pat Gridley (Becky); cousins Cole Gridley and Hunter Gridley; stepsister Robyn Moore and stepbrother Raymond Sittig.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Bevis Funeral Home, 200 John Knox Road, on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 5:00-8:00 pm. A private graveside service will be held at a future date.
