Clarence Hoffer, 96 of Harvey formerly of McClusky died Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the St. Aloisius Nursing Home of Harvey.

Funeral services will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church of Harvey on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held at the Hertz Funeral Home of Harvey on Wednesday, October 15, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Interment will be in the McClusky City Cemetery.

Clarence was born on December 30, 1928, near McClusky. He was the son of Fred and Martha (Fenner) Hoffer. Clarence grew up and attended rural school north of McClusky. He then began farming with his father. Clarence married Mae Wells on November 14, 1986, in McClusky. They lived on the family farm north of McClusky. They moved to Harvey in 2000. They would live in Harvey in the winter months and spend the summers on the farm. Clarence retired and moved to Harvey full-time.

Clarence enjoyed farming and gardening, especially raising potatoes. He also enjoyed singing.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Mae of Harvey, several nieces and nephews. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, sister Esther Mehl, and infant brother, Chester.
