Clarence Arthur Horton, Jr., 66, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026 at his home.

Clarence was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 13, 1959 to the late Clarence Arthur Sr. and Rosa (Mills) Horton. He graduated from Bosse High School and owned his own lawn care business for many years. Clarence loved to travel, camp and spend time in the outdoors. He was a man of deep faith and was a dedicated member of Freedom Life Center. Above all else, Clarence loved his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Laura Lee (Harden) Horton; daughters, Renee Chambers (Malik), Bethany Greubel (Matt) and Anna Jones (Kenny); sons, Jacob and Joel Horton; step-daughter, Danielle Will; step-son, Quinton Peters; sisters, Susan Golden (Mike); and by many grandchildren.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen Horton (Jimmy Mercer); and by his step-son, Jason.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Locust Hill Cemetery with Pastor Ron Kissel officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Freedom Life Center, 4600 N. St. Joseph Ave., Evansville, IN 47720.
