Clarence Jackson Obituary
Clarence "Joe" Jackson, 79 years old, passed away Friday, July, 29, 2022, in a rehab center, with his wife, Betty and best friend, Cathy Lawing by his side.
Joe was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to the late Sarah and Clarence O. Jackson. Joe was a proud member of the United States Air Force for 22 years and served on the elite bomb squad, for which he received a Bronze Star medal after serving 2 years in Vietnam.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Betty, the love of his life; his beloved children, Michelle Mannix (Dan) of Brooklyn, N.Y., Christopher Jackson (Margaret) of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; and stepson, Jeffrey Kelly (Vandera) of Aurora, CO; three grandchildren, Jackson, Sophie and Sadie. He was proud of his children and grandchildren with a fierce loyalty and a never ending love that knew no bounds.
There will be no services. His cremated remains will be interred at McDowell Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
