Clarence "Keefer" Keefer, Jr. passed peacefully at GBMC on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the age of 79.
Born in Baltimore, Maryland on April Fool's Day of 1945, Keefer was a born jokester. Though his childhood was far from easy, he delighted in making people laugh through telling stories about growing up in the city.
Before retiring he took pride in his work as an auto body repairman, and in the furniture restoration business (affectionately known to many as 'The Chairman'). When he wasn't working he loved spending time with his homing pigeons.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Keefer, daughters Mary Dieumegarde, Gloria Kelly, Jessica Haase, Melissa Alegre, and Bevin Keefer. He is also survived by an astounding combined 55 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded by his parents, Clarence and Virginia Keefer, son Sam Keefer, daughter Delores Redman, and beloved dog Buddy.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In leiu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to your local animal shelter, causes close to Keefer's heart.
"Everybody's got a story, ya just need to take the time to listen." -Keefer
