Clarence E. Pummell

Clarence E. Pummell, age 95, of Petersburg, MI died in his home on Monday November 4th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. Visitation will be Thursday November 7th from 10:00-12:00 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Petersburg, 7295 Kruse Road, Petersburg, MI 49270. Funeral services will commence at noon with burial immediately following at Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Pastor David Vinciguerra.
Born May 21, 1929, in Morenci, MI, Clarence was the son of Clarence and Esther (Johnston) Pummell. He married Donna Mae Schultz on April 12, 1958, at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church and enjoyed a blessed 66 years of companionship.
He is an army veteran and worked at Consumers Power (Energy) for 45 years, retiring in 1993. as a tree trimmer and lineman. He was a member of Zion Evangelical Church where he enjoyed worship and fellowship with his Zion family. He also enjoyed travel, spending time with family, attending his kids and grandkids events, working on the yard and the family farm in Morenci and was an avid dart ball and croquet player.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Donna; sons David (Gail) of Virginia, Bruce (Cheryl) Temperance, MI; Doug (Andrea) Kalispell, MT. 8 grandchildren David, Emily (Matt), Kristin (Sean), Adam (Hannah), Ben (Kelsey), Tara (Luke), Holly, Ryan and 4 great-grandchildren Skylar, Levi, Colt, Avery and baby P coming in December. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings Harold, Phyllis, John and Doris.
