Mr. Clarence Edward Reed, Sr. was born November 7, 1936, in Clarksville, Tennessee to the union of Willie Virgil Reed and Luetha Jordan Reed. This production life came to an end on Monday, July 7, 2025, at his residence in Nashville, Tennessee.

Clarence was educated in the Clarksville Montgomery County Schools. He was a 1956 graduate of Historic Burt High School.

Clarence married the love of his life Folia Mae Powers on February 14, 1956. This union was blessed with 4 children.

Clarence provided for his family by working many jobs. He retired from St. Thomas West Hospital in 2004 and he went to work for Skyline Medical Center and in 2005.

Clarence was united with the Jefferson Street Baptist Church where he maintained his membership until his health began to fail.

In his spare time, he enjoyed cooking and grilling. He was known by many as a Rebo the Grill Master. Clarence enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a hard worker. He was a quiet and shy man until he had a Natural Ice Beer, then it was party time.

Clarence was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Luetha Reed and wife, Folia Mae Reed and son, Clarence Reed, Jr., brothers, Lawrence K. Reed, Sr. and Willie A. Reed.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children, Beverly Northern, Wanda (Charles) Pierce and Cedric Reed, grandchildren, Shameka (Anthony) Britton, Shonda (Ray) Bass, Camille Carswell, Carla Carswell, Carl Carswell, Charles Pierce, II, 5 great-grandchildren, Kayla (Montravious) Maclin, Cortez Joyce, Ke’Aria Carswell, Hakeem Word and Kalani Carswell, 2 great-great-grandchildren, Chase Spicer and Tra Maclin, brothers, Orlando (Christy) Reed, James “JC” (Jessie) Reed, Maurice (Suzette) Reed and Willie (Raquel) Reed, sisters, Sandra Hutchison, Carolyn (Clifton) Lewis, Sonja (Bobby) McGlown, sisters-in-law, Bernice Reed and Karen (Nesse) Trotter and a host of other relatives and friends.
