Clarence Storbeck 4/1/1933-4/10/2025

Clarence Storbeck, 92, of Chadron, NE passed away at his home, surrounded by family, on April 10, 2025.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church from 6-7:00 pm with a prayer vigil beginning at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 10:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chadron, NE with a burial to follow.

Clarence F. Storbeck was born on April 1, 1933, to Dororthy (Holm) and Arthur Storbeck in Valley City, ND. He graduated from Valley City High School and then attended college at Black Hills State College.

He met the love of his life, Bonnie Koch, and they were married on August 29, 1953. To this union, six (6) children were born, Tim, Tom, Tony, Terry, Tammy, and T.J.

Clarence worked for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife in Valley City, ND; Manchester, IA; Spearfish, SD, and Crawford, NE. He was Hatchery Superintendent at Crawford, NE, and Grove Trout Rearing Station in Royal, NE until his retirement in September of 1998.

Clarence was an avid hunter, fisherman, boater, and camper. He loved playing cards and enjoyed puzzles. Most of all he loved his family and was the teasing grandpa.

He is survived by his wife of 72 ½ years, Bonnie Storbeck, of Chadron, his six (6) children, Tim (Barb), Tom (Kris), Tony (Kathy), Terry, Tammy (Rich), T.J. (Lori), 45 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Dorothy Storbeck, brothers, Lyle and Donald, as well as grandchildren, Nicolas, Carter, and Waylyn.
