Clarence Kevin Wood, 68, of Bald Knob, Arkansas went to be with our Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2024 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was born September 10, 1955 in Noblesville, Indiana to the late Jearldene and Dixie Wood.
Kevin was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He attended high school in Floral, Arkansas. He later went on to serve his country in the United States Army for three years. After he was discharged from the military, he worked at Land O' Frost as a diesel mechanic. Kevins greatest accomplishment was accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savor. He devoted his life to his faith and served as the Pastor for Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Augusta, Arkansas for two years. Kevin was able to share his faith and love for his Lord to many lost souls over the years. He was loved greatly by his family and will be deeply missed by those that knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Keira Wood, Kenny Wood, Ashley (Josh) Vaughan, Kaleb (Amanda) Wood, Whitney (Gabriel) Chavarria, and Natasha (Ronnie) Young; Sisters, Deborah (Jack) Genna and Jerri Lynn (Jerry) Peer; Grandchildren, Adrian Mejia, Connor William Wood, Jonathan Vaughan, Athena Vaughan, Riley Wood, Marsden Wood, Galilee Wood, Kynleigh Wood, Marshall Wood, Eric Chavarria, Caitlyn Chavarria, Aidan Chavarria, Eliana Chavarria, Mason Chavarria, Madilyn Chavarria, Jaxon Young, Liam Young, and Colter Young. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by, his parents, his sister, Erma Dean Thomas, and an infant brother, Marshall Keith Wood
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Bald Knob, Arkansas with Brother Henry Emison officiating. Visitation will be held prior to services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Union Grove Cemetery in Floral, Arkansas. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Ronnie Young, Jaxon Young, Knoel Wood, Kaleb Wood, Chase Thomas, and Doug Lajeunesse. Honorary pallbearers are Norman Pearson, Nahshon Anderson, Doyle Thomas, and Jerry Peer.
Arrangements are entrusted to Powell Funeral Home Bald Knob – Judsonia.
