Claude Hicks

HICKS, Claude Grafton, 78, of Rockville, Va., passed away peacefully September 8, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Jeanette. He is survived by his two sons, C.G. Hicks and his wife, Becky, and John Linwood Hicks; two grandchildren, Chad and Katie Hicks; one sister, Ruby Gentry; a devoted nephew, Vincent Hutchinson (Brandy, Cassidy and Andrew). Claude was an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was a past employee of The Virginia Dairy and retired from Richfood. He was a Korean War veteran. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., also where a funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 11, at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow at the Brea Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
