He is survived by: three sons, Daniel Hicks (Veronika), David Dillard, and Jeremiah Hicks; one daughter, Mary Potter (Shane); one brother, Robert Hicks; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.
He was a pilot, pastor, farmer, and a salesman. He received his bachelor's degree from Ohio State University.
He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, who served as a sonarman on nuclear submarines.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2025, between 1 – 2 pm at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Taylor's Grove Cemetery.
