Claude Johnson Obituary
Claude was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, known for his willingness to assist anyone in need. He was a long-time member and bus driver of Green Valley Baptist Church, where he attended faithfully as long as his health allowed. Claude spent his life as a farmer, volunteer fire fighter, coal miner, and truck driver. He touched the lives of many with his humor and practical jokes.
Claude is survived by his loving wife Nancy Campbell Johnson; daughter, Tonya Johnson; stepdaughter Cathy Campbell Savage and son-in-law Josh Savage; stepson Robert Campbell; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
A Special Thanks to the staff of Mountain View Retirement Home and Ultra Health Hospice Services for the loving care they provided for Claude.
Funeral services for Claude Robert Johnson will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Randy Williams, officiating. Interment will be private.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Stallard, Aaron Gilmer, Chase Campbell, Lance Campbell, Josh Savage, and Cliff Hughes.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
Claude will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
