Claude Lynn Overton Jr. passed away on December 9, 2024. He was born on September 29, 1943 in Decatur, GA to the late Claude Lynn Overton Sr. and Helon Ganous Overton. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jina. He attended Decatur High School and attended Georgia Tech, Southern Tech, and Oglethorpe University. He received degrees in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, and business. He was in the plastic film and packaging equity business for over 40 years. He was a long time member of Embry Hills UMC.

He is survived by his wife June M. Overton, daughter Lisa O. Bryan and her husband Walter E. Bryan of Lawrenceville, Allison O. Ritter and her husband Larry R. Ritter of Dacula, grandchildren Kelly E. Thigpen and her husband Gordon Thigpen of Toccoa, and Matthew E. Bryan of Lawrenceville.

The family will receive family and friends at A.S. Turner and Sons Funeral Home for a visitation on Monday, December 16th from 2:00-3:00pm. The graveside service will follow at Decatur Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Extra Special People in memory of Lynn.
