Charlie Overton Jr. Obituary

Charlie Samuel Overton, Jr., 54. a resident of Greensburg, departed this life Monday, February 22, 2016, at his home. Visitation at Turner Chapel AME Church, 875 Turner Chapel Rd., Greensburg, from 5 pm to 8 pm Friday, March 4, 2016. Visitation will resume at the church from 9 am Saturday until religious service at 11 am. conducted by Dr. Rev. Moses Simms. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by his loving wife, Carmen Harris Overton; two sons, Charlie Samuel Overton, III (Ebrony) and Clay Overton; his father, Charlie Samuel Overton Sr.; four grandchildren, Charlie, IV, Chanel, Caden and Zaria; six sisters, Donna Overton, Beverly O. Henderson, Cynthia Overton, Sherri O. Lee, Carolyn O. Guillory, Rosaland O. Rosenthal and Cynthia and Angela Myles, who were raised like sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret P. Overton. Arrangements entrusted to MJR Friendly Service Funeral Home, Greensburg.
