Claude Smith Obituary
He was born February 1, 1936 in Kingston, GA to the late Clyde B. Smith and Jewel Duke Smith. Mr. Smith was a U.S. Veteran.
He retired from Rome Fire Department after thirty plus years of service as a Fireman. He was well known for having a portable boxing ring in his back yard. He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.
Survivors include his wife; Mary Kay Smith, of Rome, GA, one son and daughter-in-law; Leslie and Cindy Smith, of Cartersville, GA, three daughters and sons-in-law; Julia McDonald of Rome, Amber and Jimmy Boyd, Euharlee, GA, Faith and Dale Canada, of Rome, GA. Eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
The family of Mr. Smith has selected Georgia Funeral Care, 4671 S. Main Street, Acworth GA and Mr. Parnick Jennings to handle the arrangements for Claude B. Smith.
