Claude Williams Obituary
Claude was born in Sanderson, FL, relocating to Jacksonville in the early 1940's.
He was co-owner of Williams Roofing and later C&D Roofing Inc. Throughout his life he was an active member of Sherwood Baptist Church, Wingate Road Baptist Church and most recently, Gardenview Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his parents Claude Williams and Carrie Davis Williams, his son Daryl Williams, brothers Johnnie and Vernon Williams and sisters Ruth McCormick, Betty McClain and Bessie Lairsey.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of 59 years; 2 sons: Dwayne (Joy) and Dennis; 3 sisters: Lucy Williams, Ernestine Robinson and Priscilla Williams; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025 in the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street (Building C) with Rev. Jason Reid officiating.
Burial will follow at 2:00 PM in Cedar Creek Cemetery in Sanderson, Florida.
Peeples Family Funeral Home is serving the Williams Family.

I know you are now in the presence of all of our beloved earth angels, Granny, Darrell, Vernon, Betty, Bessie, Polly, Jake, Ruth, Sonny, Bobbie & Debbie. What a reunion; one that no one can be excluded from in the end. You sat with us in our darkest hours, keeping us grounded in scripture and God's promises. This Thanksgiving we will be thanking God for the gift of you in our lives. What a blessing!
