Lynne Sharon Wilson

Lynne Sharon Wilson, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday morning, February 15, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.

Sharon was born in Dunnellon, Florida and moved early in life with her family to Jacksonville. She graduated from Terry Parker High School and soon married her husband of 52 years Donni Wilson. She was a totally devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and spent her life selflessly serving those she loved. She worked beside her husband in several family businesses on the Northside of Jacksonville, most notably Don Wilson Mobile Homes. She was one of the founding members of North Jax Nazarene Church and later attended North Jacksonville Baptist Church and Mercy Hill Church in Yulee. She was a faithful Christian and anyone blessed enough to know her witnessed her faith lived out through her steadfast kindness, patience, gentleness and generosity. She embodied Christ's command to "love one another" and she did so exceedingly. Her joys were reflected in her love for Jesus, spending time with her family and friends, listening to and singing bluegrass, oldies and gospel music, dancing often, traveling and enjoying sports - especially baseball and Jaguars football.

She is preceded in death by her husband Donald (Donni) Lee Wilson, her parents Frank and Rachel Burnette, and her father-in-law Don Wilson, Sr. She is survived by her mother-in-law Mabel Wilson, her brother Matt Burnette, her sister Beverly Burnette Fisher, her sister-in-law Norma Jean McLeod, her three children, Angela (Brian) Wall, Garrett (Kimberly) Wilson, Adam (Hillary) Wilson, seven grandchildren Bailey, Braxton, Trevor, Parker, Croft, Annabelle and Grant.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 21st at Mercy Hill Church 85520 Miner Rd Yulee, Florida with Dr. Mike Kwaitkowski officiating. Mercy Hill Church will open for seating at 10:30 AM A live stream of the funeral service may be available by visiting https://mercyhillfl.com/live-stream/.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service at 12:00 PM at the Journey Chapel, just a short 5-minute ride from the church, located at 95707 Amelia Concourse, Fernandina Beach, FL 32034 to share a meal, the sharing of memories and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to the Don Wilson Memorial Youth Music Fund or the Dinsmore Historic Museum. Checks made payable to either organization can be mailed to 940261 Old Nassauville Rd - Fernandina Beach FL 32034.
