A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Hopewell Baptist Church. Pastor David Wenger will officiate. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
Mrs. Lipscomb was born on June 22, 1934 in Gainesville, GA. Claudette married her high school sweetheart, Jack Lipscomb. They were married 52 years, Jack preceded Claudette in death in 2006. She was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was proud to have grown up in the New Holland area. She was known as "Nanny" to everyone that knew her. She became a Christian at a young age and witnessed to everyone until her last breath.
Nanny loved her career as a nurse and enjoyed serving her community in that way. Our family cherished our Thursday night and Sunday afternoon dinners. It always thrilled her heart to have her family around her table.
She was a true matriarch and the anchor that held our family together. She raised her daughters at Emmanuel Baptist Church and later became a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lipscomb was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lipscomb and son in law, Charles Adams.
Mrs. Lipscomb is survived by her daughters, Jackie Robb Knudsen of Gainesville, Pam Adams of Gainesville; grandchildren, Brandon Adams (Gina), Jessica Peck (Greg), Britton Adams (Jennifer), Cory Robb (Brittany); great-grandchildren, Thomas, Erin, Cally, Cody, Emery, Easton, Charlie, Cate, Davis, Elenora and a number of other loving relatives.
