Claudia Hicks Crocker of Thomasville, Georgia died Saturday, June, 14, 2025. She was 86 years old, born on February 6, 1939, in Atlanta, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at Victory Fellowship Church with Pastor Jamie Nunnally officiating. Private interment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM in the chapel of Allen & Allen Funeral Home.
Claudia was the daughter of the late Clifford England and Grace Marian Brantley Flicks of Atlanta. She graduated from Decatur High School in Decatur, attended West Georgia College in Carrolton, and graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens with a BS in elementary and secondary (English) education. She also attended graduate school at the University. Claudia began her teaching career in Atlanta and, several years later, continued that career in Miami, Florida, and later in Alabama, and finally, back to Georgia.
Claudia was married to Claude Eugene Crocker of Thomasville in 1964 and lived in Atlanta. Later, she moved to Alabama, where she continued teaching and where her two sons were born. In 1975, Claudia began teaching in the Thomas County School System and continued there until her retirement in 1994.
She was a charter member of New Covenant Church in Thomasville, where she was active in the Women's Ministry, the Prophetic Ministry, and the Intercessory Prayer Ministry. In 2017, she joined Victory Fellowship Church.
Survivors include husband, Claude, son, Curtis C. Crocker, daughter-in-law, Nancy Moore Crocker, granddaughter, Carter Grace, and grandson, Cole Thomas; and son, Daniel E. Crocker, daughter-in-law, Kayce Palmer Crocker, granddaughters, Charlotte Noel and Emmaline Virginia, and grandson, Colin Judson; sister-in-law, Carole Davis Crocker of Lake City, Florida; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Victory Fellowship Church, 19150 Hwy. 19 N., Thomasville, Ga. 31757 and Hospice of Southwest Georgia, Archbold Foundation, P.O. Box 1018, Thomasville, Georgia, 31799, as Claudia was a volunteer for the first Hospice started here in Thomasville many years ago.
