Butler - Claudia Ruth Hulbert, 91, of Butler, Indiana died Friday, November 28, 2025, at Laurels of DeKalb in Butler.
She was born September 14, 1934, in St. Joe, Indiana to Harry Shuff, Sr. and Lula (Lutz) Shuff.
She married Olen Hulbert, Sr. He preceded her in death in 1991.
Claudia retired from Messenger Corp. in Auburn; she loved her job making calendars.
She loved the simple joys in life, sewing projects, puzzles that kept her mind sharp, and diamond art that added sparkle to her days. And if you had a dog, you knew she'd have a treat ready, because she never missed a chance to show them love. She'll be remembered for her creativity, her kindness, and the way she made both people and pups feel special.
Surviving are a daughter, Kathy (John) Grogg of Hudson; a son, Dan Noragon of Hamilton; a stepdaughter, Sharon Hulbert of Angola; two stepsons, Olen (Melanie) Hulbert, Jr. of Butler and Robert Roy (Sharon) Hulbert of Pleasant Lake; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister, Faye Tarlton of Butler.
She was preceded in death by two infant children, Nancy Noragon and Eddie Noragon; a stepdaughter, Deborah Schroeder; a stepson, Michael Hulbert, Sr.; nine sisters, Jackie Walker, Etta Joan Mills, Janice Witte, Shirley Chapman, Katherine "Kate" Clady, Mary Jane Snook, Linda Sattison, Kaye Ells, Roseann Kinsey; and seven brothers, Harry Shuff, Jr., Franklyn Shuff, Bud Shuff, Robert "Bob" Shuff, Medford "Jim" Shuff, Bill Shuff, and Chalmer Shuff.
There will be no visitation or funeral services.
Burial will be with her infant children in Hamilton Cemetery.
Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson/Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson is assisting the family with arrangements.
