Obituary For Claudia F. Neff
Claudia Fontiana (Hamilton) McCanless Neff, age 77, passed into the presence of the Lord on Friday, January 12th, 2024 from Burleson, TX.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17th, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, TX.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17th, at the White Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Glenn Neff officiating.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie.
Claudia was born to Andrew Blue Hamilton and Della Mae Weed in Fort Worth, TX on July 7, 1946. At age 19 she married Don R. McCanless, together the couple had 3 daughters and they spent the next 38 years together, until his passing in 2003.
To say she had a sweet life would be an understatement. She lived every child's dream working at a chocolate factory before retiring from Sweet Shoppe/Pangburn's Candy Company. In her spare time Claudia loved baking. She always baked the best pies. It just wasn't Christmas without her coconut cream pie. Additionally she loved singing Gospel music as well as crocheting. She will be remembered fondly by all of her family and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husband's Don McCanless and Oliver Neff, 1 sister Gail Young and 1 brother Wayne Hamilton.
Claudia is survived by her children, Sylvia and Johnny Posey of Keene, Sharon and David McClanahan of Keene, and Selena Kitchens of North Carolina; sisters, Stella Leath, Hope Levesque, and Cindy Hamilton; grandchildren, Crystal Graves, Cynthia Kitchens, Jessica Wiethorn, Shawn Posey, Brittany Rogers, Chris Posey, and Kaylee Freedman; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
It goes without saying she will be dearly missed by everyone who was blessed to have known her.
