Heaven gained a new resident on Saturday, August 30, 2025, when Claudia Louise Scott passed away peacefully at 7:52 AM.
Claudia was born October 15, 1947 in Berkeley, California. She resided in the Bay Area with her husband Steven C. Scott, until 1982, when they moved to Evanston, Wyoming with their three daughters Carrie, Connie, and Cindy.
Claudia was a stay-at-home mom or "Domestic Goddess" as she would refer to herself but maintained her California Cosmetology License, which she earned prior to having children.
Claudia was an avid reader and loved to shop, always finding the best deals around. Her motto: If it's not on sale, it's probably not worth buying it. Even though she was frugal, she was a generous and giving individual.
Over the years, she was involved in many activities – Ladies Literary Club, which hosted the Santa's Workshop for many years, as well as supporting her daughters as they traveled with music, theatre, speech, and various sporting events. Claudia also spent many hours fishing with her husband…his passion. One of her favorite activities was playing bridge. She loved her "Bridge Ladies" and often spoke of her Tuesday outings. But her favorite times were spent with her family and nine grandkids.
Claudia was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Grace Weeks, and Steven C Scott, her wonderful husband of 56 years. She is survived by her three daughters Carrie Wood (Brian), Constance Scott, and Cindy Henderson (Jeff); as well as nine amazing grandchildren – Zachary Henderson, Alex Nicole Henderson, Erin Beth Henderson, Grace Wood, Haven Wood, Josias Wood, Immanuel Wood, Louise Wood, and Katriel Wood; and her sister Sue Garcia and niece Ann Cooper.
She adored her family and many cousins still residing in California and was able to see many of them one last time in early August 2025 – Charlene Tenbrink, Russell Addiego, Gale Campbell, Linda Wood, Frank Addiego, Jon Addiego, Stephanie Mewha, and Christine Mewha (and many others).
We would like to acknowledge special friends and her bridge ladies: Ronda Froseth (Larry), Sandy Perry (Harold), Conni and Terri Steininger, Janice Lehman (Leonard), Ann Park, Joy Shirley, Joyce Martines, Alice and Robert Griffin, Laurie Bateman, Leslie Carlson, Mardi Wheeler, Marilyn Tacoma, Martin VanAmen, Kathy Easton (Kelly), Patty Fessenden, Kym Carmichael, Brad Froseth, Sonja Eves (Bret), Robin Walton, and Karen Barnes. You all held a special place in her heart.
A special thanks to Kelly Pierce and Amber Easton from Evanston Dialysis, who helped our father and continued to visit our mother after his passing; and Jen Martin, Kalli Martin, Colby Gomez, and Tanya Beratagnol from Best Home Health, who lovingly cared for them both in their last days.
While our hearts are broken because she is no longer with us on this earth, we know she is celebrating in Heaven with our father Steve, her parents, and loved ones gone before her. We mourn the loss of an amazing mother, wife, daughter, and friend; yet, we rejoice that she is in the hands of God! Gone but never forgotten!
