Claudine Germer Obituary

Hustisford, WI - Claudine Mae (nee Weymier) Germer, age 92, of Hustisford, WI., passed away on Monday, March 25, 2024 at Majestic Heights Assisted Living in Hartford, WI. She was born on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 1931, to Thomas and Anna (nee Wegner) Weymier in Horicon, WI. and attended Horicon High School, graduating in 1949. Claudine married the love of her life, William L. Germer, on January 13, 1951 in Horicon, WI. They were married for 64 years. Claudine and Bill lived in Horicon upon his return from the Korean War and then built a home on Lake Sinissippi next to Bill's parents, William H. and Anna (Griepentrog) Germer's farm. They remained dairy farmers for many years after which they rented out land and remained living on the farm.

Claudine has been a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church and served on the Ladies Aid group and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #420, serving as treasurer for a number of years. Claudine enjoyed many fun years being a member of the Hustisford's Red Hats and took great pleasure in playing cards with several card groups in the Hustisford area. Claudine and her husband Bill were also active members in the Lake Sinissippi Lake Association.

Surviving Claudine are her two daughters; Kristine (Lynn) Held of Stevens Point, WI and Kathleen (Kerry) Pieper of Hustisford, WI., seven grandchildren: Nicole (John) Paulson, Victoria (John) Pahl, William (Ashley) Held, Angela (Jason) Baerber, Adam (Michelle) Pieper, Philip (Crystal) Pieper and Abigail Pieper( her Fiance' Chester ), her 13 great-grandchildren: Cayson and Nash Paulson, Juliet and Genevieve Pahl, Hunter, Reece, and Taylor Held , Dylan, Alley and Annie Baerber, Owen and Elijah Pieper and Wren Pieper. Also survived by her sister-in-law Sheila Weymier, a niece, a nephew and many good friends.

Claudine was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her brother Thomas Weymier, her sister-in-law Lorraine Henning and brother-in-law William Henning.

Visitation for Claudine will be from 10:00 a.m.-Noon, on Monday, April 1st, 2024, at Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church, 269 N. Lake St., Hustisford, A Funeral Service will follow at noon with Rev. Jonathan Loescher officiating. Burial will be at the Hustisford Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Bethany Ev. Lutheran Church. The family would like to thank the staff of Majestic Heights Assisted Living for their compassion, kindness and wonderful care the went above and beyond to make Claudine comfortable during her final days.

We will forever remember the great times and long talks we had with Claudine and Bill about the good old days as we vacationed in Florida. She will always be remembered and truly missed , especially by Tessey for her kindness and patience.Sincerely , Your sunshine friends Craig,Lori,Tessey
