Cleatis Orlando Davis, age 80, a longtime resident of Ashland, Kentucky, passed into the arms of his Heavenly Father on August 31, 2025, following an extended illness. Cleatis was known for his warmth, humor, and unwavering faith. A devoted follower of Jesus, he lived a life marked by integrity, kindness, and deep love for his family and friends. He was retired from AK Steel as a pipefitter. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf, laughing with loved ones, and spending time with his pets. Cleatis was preceded in death by his father, Cleatis Martin Davis; his mother, Vina Davis; his stepmother, Grace Davis; and his brother, Larry Davis. He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Davis; his sister, Sue Hicks; his daughter, Kim Roseberry; his sons, Nick (Rena) Davis and Marty (Jama) Davis; grandchildren, Annie Davis, Simon Davis, Evan (Mariah) Davis, Luke (Brooke) Davis, Ryder Davis, Austin Roseberry, and Morgan (Seth) Milam; and great-grandchildren, Cooper Davis, Easton Davis, and Oaklyn Lang. He was deeply proud of his family and is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews. A celebration of Cleatis's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland with Chis Stevens officiating. Visitation will begin. 9:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Kenova Church of Christ, 1801 Chestnut Street, Kenova, West Virginia 25530. Online condolences can be shared at www.mfhfuneralhome.com. Cleatis will be remembered for his faith, his humor, and the love he gave so freely. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and joy that will continue to live on in all who knew him.
