Ann Davis Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home on Sep. 5, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Ann Frances ( Farrell) Davis, 93, longtime Shrewsbury resident, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, August 31, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Donald N. "Deano" Davis, who passed in 2006, and their daughter, Deborah Roche, who passed in 2021.

Ann leaves her devoted sons, Mark Davis and wife Adel, of Shrewsbury, and Scott M. Davis, of Dana Point, CA; her four adoring grandchildren, John and Connor Davis, of Shrewsbury, and Jennifer Roche and husband Andrew, and Elizabeth Roche, of CT; her son-in-law, Ed Roche, of CT; her brother, Tom Farrell and wife Linda, of FL; along with a niece, Kerry, and nephew, Ryan.

Ann was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Francis J. and Elizabeth M. (Curran) Farrell. She was raised and educated in Worcester, and worked for several years as Secretary for the former Home Federal Savings and Loan Bank in Worcester.

Many Saturday nights throughout their 53 years, Ann and Deano could be seen with their close friends having a meal and drinks at their favorite restaurants. She always looked forward to hosting their annual party at the Davis home, inviting the entire neighborhood for drinks, food, laughter, and a good time.

Ann was a longtime member of St. Mary's Parish, and was blessed to live so close that she could walk over for Mass.

Ann will be missed by her children and grandchildren, but her spirit, warmth, sense of humor, and tremendous friendliness will live on forever.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for Ann's funeral Mass, which will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, September 8, 2025 at St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St., Shrewsbury, followed by burial at St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.
