Clem Mitchell Obituary
Early in life he moved to New York and was employed with the New York City Fire Department as a Supervisor of the Labor Department. He was married to Mavis Dove Mitchell for a number of years. Upon his return to North Carolina he united with Elon First Baptist Church. In his spare time Clem enjoyed movies, dinners and fishing.
His survivors include his children: Clem Nelson Mitchell, Jr., Larry Darnell Mitchell (Vera), Shirley Brown and Patricia Mitchell; a sister Mary M. Albins; special friend: Rosetta Foust; 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In his passing, he now joins his wife and parents; daughter: Sabrina Carson and siblings: Amul Mitchell, Benjamin Mitchell, Spurgeon "Jimmy" Mitchell and Thelma M. Jones.
