Tilda Blocker Obituary
She lived in New York for a number of years as she worked for the New York City Health & Hospital for over 25 years as a Senior Insurance Billing Clerk . Upon her retirement she relocated to Burlington, North Carolina in 1995. She was married to the late Vernon Blocker. In her spare time, she loved television especially Law and Order. She loved shopping for the latest fashions, enjoying a delicious seafood meal and trying her luck with various recreational games. To hear heart she was a missionary, always caring for others.
She leaves lasting and loving memories to her daughter: Gail Cunningham; two granddaughters: Christian Cunningham and Noell Cunningham; great-grandson: Braylon Thomas Chew; two sisters: Mary Smith and Dorothy Poteat as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends.
In her passing she now joins her husband Vernon, her parents Twiggs and Annie Ruth Cheeley and siblings: Thomas Cheeley, James Cheeley, James Samuel Cheeley, Martha Cheeley and Shirley Allison.
